Great repost. In my early days I could only do daily - I did NOPT - now I know it is NOPE
Quitting is doable!

NOPE doesn't ask the question of *why* or *what* caused you to ignore it then Slip back to smoking.
It never will.
But we all know too well the end result of acting on our thoughts to leave it.
No matter what your *thinking* was that lead to your decision to jump out of the Ship of NOPE (and into the Sea of Smoking), just check your notes and see if this very thinking on your part was not initially started by a *feeling* in your guts.
The *feeling* of stress in my guts then got my mind into the *thinking* to smoke in reaction every single time.... until I was willing to finally Quit Smoking and face my stress each day: slowing bringing it to a healthier way by my learning how to avoid it, accept it, and live with it.
The moment we snub out that Last Cigarette, we are faced with the real work that must be attended to.
Our Feelings.
Dealing with these head on as a NON Smoker requires we have both our sleeves rolled up, and our heads to the grindstone.
One Day at a Time.
Yes YOU can.

Happy Tuesday!!!!!
A nice surprise yesterday - work PD day and I had a retirement party as well. It was so nice and it touched me. I am in my office today starting to wrap up the school year as I have 4 weeks left. Smoking will not be part of my day today or any day thanks much. Keeping to my path along the Freedom Road shouting NO to smoking as I kick that ash to the curb. Who will join me today?????
Have a great day

Good morning. 6:40 am. Up long enough to be on my second cup of liquid motivation. Time to say NOPE and commit to no smoking today or ever again.
Today is Earth Day. The day we promise to recycle, reuse, wear out items in order to protect our planet. Gee I think no smoking falls in there. Stop air pollution!
Prevent forest fires (don't flick butts)! If we all do just a little it will do a lot for our planet.

Well time to get busy. Think I am going to move some bedroom pieces of furniture. The room seems heavy on one side as all the big pieces landed there. Think I am going to stretch my muscles!
Y'all have a magnificent day. Be nice to our earth and please be nice, be kind to all you cross paths with.

I think quitting this addiction is like leaving a cult. One way or another, you have to forever leave 'The Compound' aka Addiction, and surround yourself with supportive people who can help you while you detox and change your thinking.
Here are a couple of deprogramming suggestions:
-REPROGRAM YOUR THINKING ABOUT SMOKING: It was never your friend. It never helped you. Inhaling toxic chemicals never benefited you in any way - EVER. It is a heinous legalized addiction. period.
-EVERY NIGHT throw your "romancing the smoke" b*llsh*t in the Q Bonfire along with your unsmoked crap stix.
-ANY TIME you think about smoking USE IT as an opportunity to talk some good trash about that vile, disgusting, insidious, nauseating, repulsive, filthy, effing addiction!
-tell yourself: That sh*t is NASTY and I am OVER it! It's not enough to throw the pack in the toilet.
Addiction is a mind game and you've been brainwashed. Now YOU'VE got some brainwashing to do!
You weren't born a smoker.
You can do it....yes you can! keep that beautiful quit
