Repost: I never thought I'd get past day 1
Take a few moments and look at the positives of your quit. I know I was very negative and I think that increased the difficulties I experienced quitting. When we quit and the smoke screen clears - we see our addiction and all the lies smoking told us. We see that all that we gave smoking credit for came from us - we did it ourselves and gave the sickerette credit for it. Cannot speak for you but I hate at work when someone takes credit for things I do and...Repost: I never thought I'd get past day 1

I will never smoke again and I can say that and be happy.
Quitting is not always easy but it is doable.

yet, here I am! Day 19. I was one of those people who figured I'd never be able to "give up" smoking. Let's be honest though... Are you really giving anything up? I certainly don't miss the nagging urge to run outside every 30 minutes to an hour, all day long. It's such a hassle.
I also don't miss feeling winded all day, nothing tasting/smelling right, absolutely no energy, spending a ton of money every month, yellow fingers... I could go on all day. I feel like I have so much more freedom. I'm actually happier now than I was as a smoker... It's still early in my quit so the charm might wear off. Who knows... Right now, I'm excited about my smoke free days
This is my quit. It's not much yet, but it's beautiful and I'm proud of it. I will protect it because it matters. I will not make excuses to smoke, no matter what. I won't have "just one" or a few puffs. Smoking doesn't help anything. It never has and it never will, and I'm not falling for the lies again. I love being a non-smoker!

Look at these numbers ====> 18 days, 21 hours, 28 minutes and 44 seconds smoke free. 472 cigarettes not smoked. $118.75 and 3 days, 14 hours of my life saved!
